ABOUT
Olivia Wise is a New York-based artist and designer whose work explores the intimate relationship between humans and objects. A recent graduate of NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, her concentration—From Creation to Consumption: Exploring the Human-Object Symbiosis—investigated how material culture, sustainability, and design ethics intersect. With a practice rooted in both critical theory and fabrication, Olivia has experienced working across mediums including ceramics, wood, casting, and digital modeling to examine how objects carry meaning, memory, and environmental consequence.
Through her art and design, Olivia challenges passive consumption and advocates for intentional, responsible creation. Her work reflects a deep respect for material vitality and a belief that beautiful, functional objects can inspire social and ecological care.
She is well versed in various digital softwares such as Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more.
Her academic background includes design theory, studio work, environmental studies, and urban planning.
